Complementing her extensive experience as a board director for multiple nonprofit organizations, Charlotte Johnson serves as a co-CEO and trustee of the Otto Bremer Trust (OBT) in St. Paul, Minnesota. For more than 25 years, she has played a key role in managing the grant-making activities of OBT, known until 2015 as the Otto Bremer Foundation. As OBT holds a majority stake in Bremer Bank, she also oversees the Trust’s investment in the bank’s holding company as a member of its board of directors. To help foster robust, healthy communities in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, Charlotte Johnson ensures the philanthropic work of the Trust aligns with the mission and vision of its founder, Otto Bremer.

Before joining OBT, Ms. Johnson graduated with honors from Macalester College with a bachelor of arts in anthropology. She focuses her professional pursuits on helping organizations develop clear objectives, recruit talented individuals, and maintain ethical practices while effectively achieving optimal results.

Widely traveled, she has visited destinations in Europe and Great Britain and favors trips to less populated areas where she can explore the countryside. In her free time, she enjoys reading historical fiction and cooking. She also participates in a variety of athletic activities, including cycling, golf, cross-country skiing, hiking, and downhill skiing.
